Welcome to Year 3

In year 3 we are creative, ambitious and enthusiastic about our learning. As the children enter Key Stage 2, we want them to develop their independence as learners, and encourage them to ask questions to deepen their understanding.

Our topic this term is the Temples, Tombs and Treasures. We will be exploring what life would have been like in Ancient Egypt. Our English topic deals with another ancient civilization – Ancient Greece. We are studying ‘Theseus and the Minotaur’.

Our trips this term are the Horniman Museum on Thursday 27th September, where we’ll be learning about Ancient Egypt, and The National Gallery on Thursday 4th October, where we will learn about myths and legends.
