Welcome to Year 4

In Year 4 we are expected to work with increasing independence and take greater responsibility for our learning.

This Term our topic has been Fashion, we have been learning how to start our own Fashion Houses, from looking at what inspires to designers, how to design a logo, creating slogans and we will be designing our T-Shirts for our brand. In science we will be learning about sound and how it is made, investigating how it travels and the patterns between the pitch of a sound that is formed. Later on this term we will be starting our Shaping Up Topic, in which we will be learning about a healthy and active lifestyle, we will be following up our learning with a trip to Pizza Express, where we will be creating our own pizza's and learning about the importance of a healthy diet.

As part of Jubilee's 'No Child Left Inside Week' we were lucky enough to visit Tate Britain.  Here are some of our budding Art Historians discussing 'Ophelia'.

Year 4's Fashion Topic was a great success. all the children thoroughly enjoyed designing and modelling their own t-shirts.
